Wasp Trap Pics

Pic A.JPG

Hi all, I was asked to give a few more details about a wasp trap I use around my swan plants. Pic A shows the full trap. Its made from glass and is shaped like a bee hive. The wasps that you see were caught over 3 days, not a bad effort. Pic B shows the entrance hole. Its concave, and the sugar water surrounds it. Wasps fly in, get very angry trying to find their way out and eventually drown from exhaustion. I change the sugar water weekly or when too many wasps are caught.

Regards, Jayne

Just emptied it and we caught just over 50 wasps in a week. We have no nest on our propery so someone around us has a problem!! Changed the sugar water and within an hour had 5 wasps inside.
