have a life long love of butterflies..my first name meaning butterfly. decided to share that love with my 4 yr old daughter. first time having swan planrs and seems I underestimated these little ratbags.we have eggs and caterpillars galore. desperate for more substantial plants. very few on trade me. any good insider knowledge places in chch to get well established plants….quickly lol.

Swan plants. There is a man by the Queen Street swimming pool, Pukekohe, who sells 4 plants for $10.00.

Someone just asked that the other day… see if they’ve posted a response. And I suggest when you get the new ones you let the caterpillars transfer themselves – then put the pots indoors where female butterflies can’t lay any more eggs on them.

Having swan plants is a lesson in planning and management! 🙂
