After having done some research, I’m going to try a mixture of Pyrethrum and Neem Oil for an initial spray and then Neem Oil spray either fortnightly or 3 weekly.
While Cleopus japonicus isn’t specifically mentioned, Neem Oil does have a detrimental effect on a number of different weevils. Certainly worth a try for a natural remedy. Also the sprinkling of Neem granules around the drip line.

I wonder if Neem Oil will sort them?
have a look at the leaves and see if there are any little jelly like green blobs on them. Its a weevil I believe. I just sprayed my buddleias with maverick. Once the maverick is dry apparently it is safe for other insects.
