I have catterpillars on my plants that seem to be bent back and waving themselves side to side. Can anyone recommend anything? I have tried moving to a different plant.

Some of my cats are a bit anorexic too, as described by Sassy & Melody. Seems to happen about this time each year, maybe the drought is affecting the plants & making them a bit too strong in taste?

Having the same problem. They are not eating. Become skinny and weak. Many disappear before they are full size. A few a day are dead. Noticed their poo is black and shriveled. They are in a secure enclosure. Very few predators get in. I will clean as much as I can and try to start afresh. I can only guess there is a disease.

Water the plants well, just water. It is best not to transfer the caterpillars from plant to plant but rather let them choose to move over to the new plant

No nothing. I’m wondering if there is anything else to give them?

have you fed the plants with something? I had a disaster some years ago when I fed a commercial plant food to the plants. Or have they been in the vicinity of a spray?
