Today’s little expedition (see http://lepidopterophile.blogspot.com/2009/05/bromley-monarch-clustering.html ) was to try to find a cluster I could photograph. I figured I probably had enough camera gear – if only I could find some monarchs in the trees.

However I suspect it was too dark today to see what was in the tops of trees, all the monarchs I found were on the ground.

Has anyone taken photos of tree clustering in NZ?
