Hi – wonder who has still got Monarch eggs on their swan plants or other milkweed?

Here in Blockhouse Bay, Auckland, I have quite a few, so hope that the season’s "not over yet".

Stefan, I would disagree. Butterflies know better than us.

I can understand removing eggs if you were short of milkweed – or wanted your plants to grow (and I remember you’ve just pruned yours back) but Nature has a way of selecting survivors and sometimes I think we interfere too much.

BUT you don’t have to do what I – or anyone else – does. To each their own.

I have removed some today in Palmerston North, just too cold now.
