    Hi All,

Just wanted to share with you that we have EGGS on our plants.

I collected over 45 leaves with eggs on today.

Do hope these come to something.

    Is this early?

    Char

Would it be useful to correlate first observation of eggs with location? I haven’t seen any yet in Tauranga

There have been eggs for months downtown Russell on the swan plants…. and there are quite a few big caterpillars down there too…. quite a number of the chrysalis haven’t come to anything though 🙁

That’s wonderful, Char. I found eggs down at the Russell School today too. AWESOME. Spring has sprung!

Are you going to take them into “safekeeping” in your butterfly house down there in Massey? If so, you’re assured of a good season. The wasps won’t be back yet (or shouldn’t be).
