    If you can get hold of a Hebe "Wiri …" variety, they are great for nectar quality.

    Wiri Spears was phenomenal when we used it in the butterfly house at Christchurch. Haven't seen it on sale anywhere though since!

    Very interesting article Jacqui.
    I have this type of Zinnia growing in our gardens. Lovely flower and have seen a few Monarchs on them.
    I am going to try and save the seed on this type;-)
    But to me nothing attracts the butterflies and bees like the Buddleia.
    We have lots of Buddleias in our gardens and they really do love these flowers.
    They also like the pink Cosmos I have growing as well.
    We do have the tall Marigolds and these are impresive as well:-) not seen a Monarch on them yet.
