New to raising monarchs , I have 15, which went through normal instars. I have 2 that ave been in pupae stage for 3 weeks and are still green and normal looking but maybe a little milky looking maybe a little black on them but not much.
Please advise , I will leave them as long as possible.thanks suzanne.

Keep the chrysalids out of direct sun if you have them inside. The sun can cause black spots and when this happens often the chrysalis will stick to the emerging butterfly.
I’ve got chrysalids that are older than 3 weeks atm, i expect them to go progressively darker in the next few days just before they eclose. A healthy chrysalis that has gone very dark will allow you to see the colour of the butterfly inside if you look closely .. one that has died will just be solid black with no colours visible.
