Great to hear, Onehunga Kindy! Thanks so much. Can you keep an eye out for them whenever possible, please, and keep reporting in to http://www.mb.org.nz. THANK YOU. I’ll come look for myself when I’m home again.
Awesome stuff!

Hello,
This morning a family told me that there is a tree full of butterflies by the park next door to us. I had a look, enchanting. The more I looked the more I saw. There are 200 plus there, in a very tall and large gum tree. Some branches have a lot, some are spread out. The address is 7 Jordan Ave, Onehunga.
Fantastic! I’ll go tomorrow and have a look – and report it in to http://www.mb.org.nz.
It is so important that these are reported in to the national database. If I keep the information to myself (or share it here) it is not stored in a logical format. It will mean that people will be able to access the data in perpetuity and then we can see what is happening to our monarch populations over the years.
I will be on the lookout for tagged butterflies while there!
