I agree with you Anna, and this year it seems to be covered in flowers.
The cutback it received last season must have done it wonders 🙂

Oh Anna – you’re right – it’s Tagasaste, brilliant plant, had it on my farm and when I was short of hay or grass I would break down branches for the cattle.
Because there’s nothing to gauge the size in the photo, I kept on thinking tulip tree and magnolias – had the completely wrong thinking on the size.

could it be the tree Lucerne?
It is very fragrant and the leaves are almost lupin like.
