These are some of the exhibits that are coming up, and we would love to have some more volunteers manning the stands. It’s a great way of sharing your knowledge with others who are interested in butterflies – and learning more.

If you can help please email me jacqui@monarch.org.nz, I would love to hear from you.

Explorama, Auckland Museum (The Atrium), Saturday and Sunday, 29 and 30 March, 10am to 5pm

Share your passion for butterflies and moths with the general public. And as well, look at the other wonderful exhibits. This show is a great event – lots to learn about all forms of scientific careers and hobbies. Fascinating stuff!

Eye on Nature – Nurturing our Forest, Auckland’s Botanical Gardens, 9-12 April.

Wednesday to Friday, between 9am and 3pm, there will be hundreds of school children visiting our exhibit where they will learn more about the butterflies and moths of the forest. An interactive display has been designed and we would like some helpers to inspire the children to finish the display.

Saturday is family day – we would like some members to do two-hour stints on our stand between midday and 8.30pm.

Waitakere Home and Garden Show, Friday-Sunday, 23-25 May, 10am to 5pm.

Come along and talk to the general public about how they can help New Zealand’s butterflies and moths. Enjoy the other fantastic exhibits. Bring the family!

We are also looking for butterflies (Monarchs) for a release on Sunday at Explorama, if anyone has any they would like to contribute (please).
