Coming Events

Do you know of an event or project where the conservation of NZ’s butterflies and/or moths and/or their habitat is being encouraged or promoted? We are happy to share the information here. Sometimes it will be the MBNZT that is promoting it but often there are individuals or other groups (formal and informal, paid or voluntary) doing the hard work. Please send an email to trust@monarch.org.nz and we’ll be happy to tell others about your efforts here.

Great reviews!
Green Book makes the most of two superb actors at the peak of their powers and lives comfortably within its self-appointed mandate to herald the power of passive resistance and friendship. It’s charming, frequently funny and if you let your guard down it will melt your heart.

—Toby Woollaston, NZ Herald
Mahershala Ali plays a jazz musician who confronts the racism of his driver, played by Viggo Mortensen, in a warm but tentative real-life story.
— Peter Bradshaw, The Guardian
A supremely likeable film. It boasts a warm heart, with two astoundingly good lead performances to guide it home.
— John Nugent, Empire
A real-life story starring Mahershala Ali and Viggo Mortensen becomes a feel-good fable buoyed by its lead performances.
— A.O. Scott, The NYTimes
