A very pretty moth, seen each year around Christmas.

Feeds in dead rangiora shoots or twigs, old flower-stems from mountain gahnia.
Pupa
Pupates in feeding place.
Adult/Imago
Yellow and pink. Late December to April.
Forewing Length
4.5 - 8.5mm
Range
North Island and as far south as Christchurch and Franz Josef in the South Island.
Habitat
Native forest.
